The National Soca Fraternity (NSF) of Antigua & Barbuda is pleased to announce the inaugural meeting, scheduled for Monday, February 2, 2025, at 5:30 PM at the North Stand, Sir Vivian Richards Stadium.
Peetron Thomas, Acting Chairman, highlighted that this gathering will address critical issues affecting the soca community.
“Our objective is to unite as a cohesive body, to propose initiatives, and to discuss the future of soca, including aspects of the Soca Monarch competition for Carnival.
This dialogue will focus on key elements that influence the outcomes of the competition and the broader development of soca music,” said Thomas.
With 70 plus members already on board, the NSF is committed to fostering growth within the soca industry year-round, not just during Carnival.
The fraternity aims to elevate soca music, promoting collaboration and supporting the development of artists both locally and internationally. “This meeting marks the beginning of a new chapter for the soca community in Antigua & Barbuda,” an NSF spokesperson stated.
“We invite all soca artists, producers, writers, and stakeholders to join us in shaping the future of soca music, ensuring its continued success beyond Carnival.”
The NSF looks forward to discussing strategies for expanding the influence of soca music in Antigua & Barbuda and exploring opportunities for its growth on the global stage.

All soca artists and stakeholders to attend and actively participate in this pivotal meeting. For more information, please contact the National Soca Fraternity at (268)7751595

You need a whole lot a elevation cause your music not moving. We continue to make music just for Antiguans and Antiguans only, then we have some youngsters who performed a few tunes and now believes they are Superstars, some even rushing to come out early and their tunes are already dead.
The shit that got me, you look at all the promotional clips that’s going on in TnT for carnival and not one Antiguan artist, then when it comes to the greatest summer festival as we call it, show after show is TnT Superstars with sellout crowd.
Gorne are the Red hot, the Drue and the Swallow. Our road march and other big tunes usually gets some attention for about three months, when our government helps out by giving them a trip to NY and MIA, to actually promote our carnival, after that it’s back home till August.
St.Croix has now made a big impression on the TnT stage and Dominica with Asa is world wide.
