A male police officer who tested positive for COVID-19 on May 30 is now back on the job after recovering from the disease.

Police Commissioner Atlee Rodney said, “it was a little troubling to him at the initial stage but with the support that we provided he is doing much better, back on the job with a lot of energy, a lot of drive still.”

“He gave me a personal letter, which was very touching, expressing his gratitude for how, you know, I was in contact with him all through the period”, Rodney added.

Medical officials had said the officer was probably showing symptoms since the first week in May.
