The trial of police officer Karim Warner concluded Saturday after final witness testimonies in a case involving allegations of firearm discharge at an occupied vehicle.

Warner is accused of firing 12 shots at a Toyota Mark X near Emerald Cove Resort on December 3, 2023, following a dispute over a leased vehicle. The investigation found bullet holes near a rear door handle and spent shell casings around the car.

Initially charged with firearm discharge and assault, Warner pleaded not guilty. Last month, prosecutors withdrew the assault charges. Eight witnesses testified, but the male occupant declined to participate.

With the prosecution resting its case, the defence plans a no-case submission. A ruling is set for May 13.

  1. I dont think Mr Warner should be charged.
What if this was an ordinary circumstance. This driver would have driven off and perhaps the vehicle would have been found weeks later. Stripped and burnt.

The driver should be on trial for theft. Of property left in his care.

#FreeKWarner not to be confused with
    rKellyWarner.

  2. Firing 12 shots at a vehicle with people inside is completely unacceptable. But what can we expect from them cops, tho? It raises so many questions about safety and accountability within the force. And like many other situations they walk free. MANNIE JAMES…BRUCE GREENAWAY… We expect law enforcement to protect and serve, not to act recklessly. I hope justice is served and that this serves as a wake-up call for better training and oversight.

  3. Hope the ruling fair and not just beacuse he’s an officer. Too much double standard inna this country. let’s see how this one play out.

  4. First of all I didn’t know the just system works on weekends. If that’s the case and the matter did conclude on Saturday I’m very impressed.
Secondly the fact that the make occupant of the vehicle refused to participate in the criminal proceedings says a whole lot.
The outcome of this trial should be very interesting

  5. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm. I stopped reading at Police officer, i mean i wasn’t interested when i saw the picture but i still open. the charges will be dropped anyway. case dismissed on the next hearing.

  6. How can you not expected the expected? He’s a police officer, let’s be for real. Did you expect anything to come out of this? wow that’s wild. Antigua justice system needs to be rechecked cause it doesn’t make any sense

  7. If it happens that he pay off the man not to testify, that man should be charge as well, because it is stated that Mr.Warner discharge his fire Armed….
