Observer Newsco rejects call from PM’s office for correction to article

Observer Newsco has rejected a statement from the Prime Minister’s office asking the media outlet to ‘correct’ an article.

Observer says the article alludes to ‘talk’ of a pay rise for Cabinet ministers, which did indeed take place last weekend on a local radio station prompting public servants to also request an increase.

“The article clearly states that PM Browne said any such payrise for his ministers would not be imminently forthcoming,” Observer said.

  1. Papa Bird was right. Seems like OPM and Max and Maurice didn’t actually read the article.

    I knew the information from the article before they sent out the release asking them to say what they already said in the article.
    I had to go read it again and it was right there saying he isn’t doing it any time now.
