A nurse is pleading for financial assistance one week after her son completed a successful eye operation in Miami, USA.

Speaking to the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment’s Communications team, Nurse Jenesha Parker disclosed that she is at her wits end where finances for her son’s operation and aftercare is concerned.

She said that she and her husband have been doing it all on their own, declaring that her entire monthly salary goes back to paying loans.

The veteran nurse added that her expenses include paying upfront consolation fees, food, pampers, paying for Uber services to and from the hospital as well as having to buy eight different eye drops for her four-year-old son which she has to administer to him four to six times daily.

Nurse Parker went on to say that apart from Glaucoma, a recent diagnosis confirmed that her son also has cataracts. She is appealing to the public as well as Government for some aftercare assistance. Nurse Parker may be contacted via Whatsapp at 728 2050.
