NSWMA Informs All Saints West Residents of Delayed Waste Collection Schedule

2

The Authority wishes to inform the general public that the National Solid Waste Management Authority (NSWMA) is the agency mandated by law to collect, transport, and dispose of solid waste in Antigua and Barbuda.

In an effort to improve our services and reliability, we are updating the residents in the community below of the schedule receiving an unavoidably late start.

We are however working to resolve the issue promptly.

  • All Saints West

We thank the residents for their patience.

The National Solid Waste Management Authority wishes to advise private citizens that if there is a delay or missed collection of their residential waste services, to contact the Authority via the hotline number 562-1347.

  1. All Saints West??? What a coincidence after the Anthony Smith debacle and acrimonious departure.

One hopes that there has been no bad-minded government interventions. However, Brixtonian could be wrong … 😉

  2. Antigua is an Island of 108 square miles for the past hundreds of years. Why in 2024 garbage pickup has become an issue all around the Island? That Department of Waste Management is indeed a WASTE in my opinion.Where I am living,my trash and recycle are both picked up on Wednesdays. If that day is a holiday. It is picked up the day after. Proper planning and alternate plans should be in place Management of Solid Waste.Perhaps the Government should contracted the pickups of trash and recycles to Private Contractors by zones and days. However, those Contractors should be paid on time to get proper services.
