  1. Question to all. Why is this a story? I thought if persons did the worked. They were supposed to get paid. So why is it necessary. To alert Civil Servants their salaries are ready.Is the Government that hard up for cash? Some Social Security Pensioners have not been paid for 2 months.

    • RED KOOL AID I asked myself the same question – why is this story newsworthy? Can someone help me to understand this?

    • @Jenny Nelson: If you have a Bank Account in Antigua and Barbuda. I would encouraged you to have your monthly Social Security payments redirected to that account monthly. You should also send your “life certificate” to Social Security monthly. I would encouraged all of you who are qualified to get that payout monthly to act now. It is your money deposited into Social Security,as a means to help financially when you retired.

  3. I think this is just a way of saying that the government is broke. These guys should just admit to being strapped for cash and present a plan to go to the IMF for funding. Just depending on tourist arrivals is not going to cut it. We all know already that you have failed so it’s no use trying to hide it anymore. This is hurting more than helping.
