The Ministry of Health, Wellness & the Environment, in partnership with several other government ministries and agencies, NGOs, community groups and concerned citizens, will be organizing a National Cleanup Campaign to include Bulk Waste Pickup, Removal of Derelict Vehicles, Coastal Cleanup and Inland/Community Cleanup.
The schedule is as follows:
May 26th to May 31st, June 9th, 10th – Bulk Waste PickUp (Please see attachment for more information)
May 26th to May 31st – Removal of Derelict Vehicles
June 2nd – Coastal Cleanup (Please see attachment)
June 3rd – Litter Picking, Inland/Community Cleanup (Please see Signup Sheet attachment).
The Ministry and the Technical Organizing Committee appreciates the support of your media network and would be grateful if
would give the campaign as much publicity as possible over the next two weeks – on your news broadcasts, community notices, Facebook pages, etc.
In addition, the Ministry’s Public Relations Department will be contacting you to schedule media appearances with members of the organizing committee on your popular interactive programs.
This is a national campaign and we are urging the general public, including your media house, to get involved. Let’s clean up our country and let us stop dumping on Antigua and Barbuda.
