NOTICE: Road Works

This serves as a notice to allow for the safety of road users during construction works associated with the Government of Antigua and Barbuda’s Road Infrastructure Rehabilitation Project which is a grant being provided by the United Kingdom Caribbean Infrastructure Partnership Fund (UKCIF).

Friars Hill Road:

Construction of manholes will continue for the duration of the week.

Potential (night) road closure on Thursday 14th June 2018.

Location:From West Indies Oil Company (WIOC) Pond to Woods Pond.

Diversion:N/A

Closure:Single lane closure

Duration:Approximately Thirteen (13) Days.

Sir George Walter Highway:

Electrical works at the section called phase one (1).

Utility work will be ongoing from WIOC Gas Station to the VC Bird International Airport Junction.

Lane Closure:Single lane closure when necessary

Duration: Approximately Five (5) days

Warning signs will be visible for all road users who are being asked to proceed with caution for the duration of the road works. There will be workers in high visibility reflective gear at the lane closure and flag people will be there to provide guidance. Local access will be maintained.

No parking will be allowed along main roads or side roads in the area.
