NOTICE: Road reopened and Road closure planned

Traffic Management Notice:

 

Date: Monday, 20th December, 2021.

 

The Project Implementation Management Unit (PIMU) is reporting that the Little Creek Bridge is officially reopened.

The reopening of the bridge is being viewed as an accomplishment to ease traffic congestion in time for the upcoming Christmas season.

The contracting firm, for the Government of Antigua and Barbuda Second Road Infrastructure Rehabilitation Project, C.O. Williams construction Limited initiated a fill closure of the area to facilitate the reconstruction of the bridge which is now complete with installation of safety guard rails.

Road Closure:

Date: Tuesday 21st December 2021

Time:  from 7:00pm to 7:00am.

The contracting firm plans to implement a temporary road closure at the Potworks junction off the Sir Sydney Walling Highway (SSWH.

The General Public is being notified that the Potworks junction is being closed to ALL Traffic except emergency vehicles on Tuesday 21st December 2021 from 7:00pm to 7:00am. This is to facilitate a water main Crossing.

Road useres traveling Westwards on SSWH intending to use the Potworks turn off junction should divert through the Collins junction.

Vehicles traveling Eastwards on SSWH intending to use the Potworks turn off junction should continue on through Pares and onto the Collins junction turnoff. C.O. Williams Construction Ltd apologizes for any inconvenience caused.

Flag Persons will be hon hand to provide guidance to road uses during day time road closures.
