The Ministry of Works advises all motorists to proceed with caution along All Saints Road as a portion is closed off in the vacinity of Kennedy’s Hardware and Fadi’s Building Supplies. Detour signs are in place and should be adhered to for your safety.
Upon inspection, it was found that a section of the road, under which a major waterway flows, is now undermined following heavy rains hence the road closure in an effort to maintain safety.
The Ministry is working expeditiously to reinstate the undermined section as soon as possible. Preparations for the necessary overall reconstruction of All Saints Road are ongoing, with work expected to commence in the second half of 2025 as stated prior.
We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.

Today as I took my 40 min drive to the ABTB to renew my car registration, I felt as if driving along an obstacle course dodging every 15 ft a huge pothole. I thought to myself, I thought they were fixing the roads. Roads that were supposedly fixed 6 months ago we’re back to the same horrible condition before repairs. As a country can’t we find people who are qualified to deal with the roads? They were back to the same deplorable condition they were in before the roads were repaired. So then I get to the road that turns to go down to the ABTB, and to my surprise, they paved the road. I guess if you’re gonna take and additional $100 from me you wanted me to see and feel that my $100 is actually being used for the roads. Good try whoever is in charge of roads, I was not impressed. I still had to drive home on the same disgusting, pot hole filled pools that threaten to destroy yet another part of my car.
Between the speeding buses, rain, drivers that should have their driver’s license revoked and the pot holes, my drive was a living hell. You don’t have to worry about me going anywhere near All St. Rd. anytime soon.
Antiguan, it’s not about finding people to even fix the roads. It’s about finding the proper materials to put on the road. Keep using cheap stuff and the roads will always show what you’re using!
I disagree a lot of the roads are built poorly, no drainage and after it’s built there is virtually no maintenance. A simple crack will turn to a small hole and sits there for months until it’s a driving hazard. asphalt is more than usable and there is a reason why it’s used worldwide for long distance roadways but the construction and maintains makes Antigua’s roads guaranteed to have a short lifespan.
I noticed while in our sister island a few year ago when the airport was being built that the new roads to the airport were remarkably different than the roads in Antigua. When I asked the high ranking government official why they didn’t do the same in Antigua, I was told that supplies and equipment needed was not available in Antigua. So they can build good roads, let’s not fool ourselves. They would rather put the money in Antigua in their greedy pockets while we suffer everyday driving on poorly built roads.
How Antiguans sit back and allow this shit to happen don’t they have any pride, doesn’t matter which party you support your country should come first.
