Further to our notice in respect of closure of the section of Runaway Bay Road in the vicinity of Mystic Bar at Sand Haven Beach last month, we regret to advise that we must extend the closure until February 15, 2019.
The work has been delayed due to unfavorable sea conditions.
The purpose of the closure is to facilitate the laying of underground and subsea pipelines by The West Indies Oil Company, Limited and is necessary to ensure the safety of motorists and all road users.
The closure will not prevent access to the hotel properties and residences along the road.
In the untimely event that we encounter further delays, the public will be advised accordingly. WIOC regrets any inconvenience caused.
