On Thursday 379 students from five departments will cross the stage at the Antigua State
College’s annual commencement. The event will take place at the St John’s Pentecostal
Church (SJPC) House of Restoration on Lauchland Benjamin Drive at 4 pm. In light of this,
the College would like to apprise the public of the following:
· Traffic on Lauchland Benjamin Drive and its immediate environs would be
adversely affected due to the hundreds of people who are expected to attend.
Drivers who would normally traverse that area are therefore encouraged to use an
alternate route.
· Admission to the ceremony is by invitation only. This is due to space constraints at
the venue. Invitees must present their invitation at the door to gain access to the
venue.
· Those holding valid invitations are reminded that they must be seated by 3:45 pm.
At that point, the doors will be closed to facilitate the procession. Late arrivals will
only be accommodated after the graduands are seated.
· ABS Radio & Television will have a live broadcast of the ceremony for the benefit of
those who cannot attend.
The College wishes to thank the staff at the SJPC House of Restoration, the Royal Police
Force of Antigua & Barbuda, ABS Radio & Television and all the other agencies and
partners who have helped us mount this event.
Finally, the College extends heartfelt congratulations to the Class of 2019 and thanks the
