NODS Encourages Customer Service Employees To Be Extra Careful

0

The National Office of Disaster Services (NODS) is encouraging employees who interact regularly with customers to take extra precautions in the fight against the Covid-19 virus.

Some of these individuals might be employed at the banks or other financial institutions, supermarkets, community shops, bakeries, gas stations among others.

It is important that these employees practice social distancing, always wear masks, wash hands regularly, avoid touching their faces and regularly clean and sanitize work areas to prevent the spread of the virus.

Meanwhile, NODS continues to encourage the proper use of masks by residents. NODS advises that only the cloth masks or cloth coverings should be washed, ironed and then re-used. All other masks are only to be worn once and then discarded. The N95 mask should be worn for 8 hours while the surgical mask should be worn for 2-4 hours.

Residents are further advised that hands should be washed with soap and water before putting on masks and individuals should avoid touching them.
