NODS Advises Residents Against Panic Buying

0

Residents in Antigua and Barbuda are being called upon to take the necessary action to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus but are being encouraged to consider the needs of others when purchasing items.

The National Office of Disaster Services (NODS) is encouraging individuals to be mindful that it is necessary that everyone has access to supplies like liquid soap, hand sanitizers, detergent, toilet paper among other things.

Director of NODS Philmore Mullin says if there continues to be a run on supermarkets and shops, then people would need to consider the possible increase of the spread of the virus by those who don’t have access to well needed supplies.

Residents are being urged to purchase items in moderation so that there is a continued supply of items available to all.
