Noah Yeboah, ‘African Prince,’ Returns to Compete in 2024 Antigua Carnival and Releases New EP

Noah Yeboah, known as the ‘African Prince,’ is to make a return to Antigua and Barbuda to compete in the 2024 Carnival’s Junior Calypso and Soca Monarch competitions. He secured a place in every competition in the winner’s circle—first runner-up and second runner-up positions—in last year’s competitions, including the UWI Mr. & Miss Teenage Pageant and both the Groovy and Jumpy categories of the Junior Soca Monarch, and the Junior Calypso Monarch.

Noah is currently pursuing a degree in Broadcasting and Film in the United States and has actively engaged in various projects. At Bergen Community College, he was appointed head of videography for the student newspaper, The Bergen Torch. His role expanded when he was tasked with writing, directing, and producing a project with Disney Comic Book Author and Philanthropist—Edgardo Miranda-Rodriguez for Latino Heritage Month in the United States.

In addition to his creative contributions, Noah recently traveled to participate in the Associated Collegiate Press (ACP) College Media Conference in San Diego and Los Angeles, California. This conference is an event for college media practitioners, featuring a range of workshops and networking opportunities designed to inform, educate, and promote journalistic skills and media knowledge. Noah was a speaker at the event for the film and media category and was tasked with educating and sharing his experience as an upcoming writer and filmmaker.

Significantly, Yeboah was proposed and has accepted the opportunity to write, direct, and produce a television show for Bergen Community College. This show, which is currently in the development phase, aims to address common and relatable issues faced by young adolescents, such as mental health, peer pressure, relationships, and school challenges. This project was initiated by the college to leverage Yeboah’s creative capabilities and his keen insight into the challenges faced by today’s youth.

On the professional front, Yeboah was appointed as a Business Consultant for the New Jersey Bergen County Resource Network. This role involves advising local businesses on strategies to strengthen their operational effectiveness, including market analysis, strategic planning, and sustainability initiatives. The Bergen County Resource Network serves as a support system for local enterprises, who may need help with starting a business.

Musically, Noah is gearing up to release an EP for the 2024 Carnival, featuring six tracks produced in collaboration with Brukway Studios and Ackah Dan.
