No Mango Fest this year-officials

(PRESS RELEASE)

The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Barbuda Affairs regrettably is unable to host the 13th  annual Mango Fest this year.

Several reasons have contributed to this decision.

First and foremost,  the lateness of Primary Mangoes this year and secondly, the Ministry is currently in the process of coordinating two major agriculture initiatives which require the full focus of the Technical Personnel.

However, it is the ministry’s intention to widen the scope of the Festival for 2019 with the hope of having a bigger and better Mango Fest than those held in the past.

  1. No big loss, this has become a festival to buy everything other than mango. It has become more like a flea market.

      • Well I dont know your gender. But if you are a female you can get your weave. If you are a male you can get that enhancement in liquid form. And of course for the kids there is the bounce castle and face painting!!

  2. I have been eating mangoes since the Month of May, and have eaten dozens in each and every month since then… So what lateness are we being grilled about…. There dozens of mango vendors across the island. More mangoes than buyers and this is the best excuse we are suppose to suck on, (pun intended).

  3. That is a very lame excuse. There is so much mango on the market right now. Always wait until close to the time of any national event to say it’s cancel…very incompetent.
