Commissioner of Police, Atlee Rodney said people will not be allowed to jog on the public roads while the 24-hour curfew is in effect.
Rodney told state media he has been getting calls and requests from people wishing to keep up their exercise routine during the state of emergency.
However, Rodney reasoned “if you allow certain things like that, you never know how far it’s gonna go”.
“I think persons just have to make the sacrifice at this time. I’m one of the persons that normally on the road. You just have to make the sacrifice around this time”, the Police Commissioner said.
“If you’re a person that is normally taking your exercise serious, you gonna know enough exercise that you can do a 30-minute, a 45-minute workout in your house and now that you’re home maybe for the whole day, you might do an hour and a half”, Rodney assessed.
