No beach access on Labour Day and Whit Monday

4

Cabinet Notes: The Cabinet agreed that the beaches will remain closed on the upcoming holidays: Labour Day May 3, 2021, and Whit Monday, May 24, 2021.

The experience even during this period, on Sunday afternoons, is a flocking to the beaches with coolers and music blaring from cars.

The danger to the entire population from these gatherings suggest that the numbers on holidays would be greater and would result in the spread of the virus, especially by those who are asymptomatic.

  1. Once again, our dumb Prime minster and our even dumber CMO and minster of health are closing the beaches, which are open places with salt water……rather than people going to pool parties and house parties……..I guess our Prime Mister is closing the beaches because he thinks Corona Virus “comes in waves”. What a bunch of stupid people! I wish they would use their brains…….the people they say liming on beaches aren’t even on the beach. They lime on the roads where the police pass and laugh. You think we would wake up!

  2. This is nonsense. There are 365 Beaches on the Island of Antigua. So why the heck the people could not go to designated Beaches. Just have those Beaches fully patrolled and be controlled for over crowding. Put the Police and Beach Wardens to work on those weekends.

  3. We are more than them. They can’t stop all of us from going to the beaches.

No more Draconian rule and I am done with traitor dictator Gaston and his regime.
