Prime Minister Gaston Browne is standing behind statements he made about United Progressive Party candidate Anthony Smith.
Browne is insisting that Anthony Smith never approached him personally.
He says it was Smith’s father who made contact.
Anthony Smith has threatened to sue Browne over statements that the UPP candidate wanted to join the ABLP.
