The Ottos Comprehensive School’s Talented Teen pageant saw 18-year-old Nicholas Simpson emerge as the overall winner, dominating in four out of five segments: personality and aspiration, research, performing talent, and creative wear.

Although placing third in the interview segment, Simpson’s consistent performance stood out.

Anique Roberts, 16, took the first runner-up spot, excelling in the interview segment, while Shanae Peters, also 16, secured second runner-up.

The pageant, a precursor to the Carnival Talented Teen pageant, showcased seven delegates who researched a Caribbean island and presented on ‘my carnival is better than yours.’

Simpson’s presentation, which included a calypso performance showcasing mas and fire-eating, highlighted his creativity.

  1. I can take pleasure in encouraging him last week, just before his interview on ABS TV. As the first Mr. Teenage winner, I shook his hand firmly and admonished him to bring it home for male team as he was the only boy among the contestants. He promised me that he would. And he did. Congrats, young man. Your future is bright. Cheers
