New US Ambassador to the Eastern Caribbean, Roger Nhyus, has received numerous requests from regional leaders to reconsider visa restrictions for Eastern Caribbean members.
Nhyus, while not committing to any promises, expressed the intent to discuss the matter with the US embassy in Barbados upon his return to Bridgetown.
The issue gained traction after a local business representative advocated for the removal of visa restrictions during a meeting with the Chamber of Commerce.
Nhyus acknowledged the widespread concern during his three-week stay in Antigua, emphasizing that he would convey the feedback to the embassy team.
