The Ministry of Health, Wellness, and the Environment will begin the process of installing the recyclable garbage bins throughout St. John’s on Sunday 24th March 2018.
The Ministry is soliciting the co-operation of the general public and pedestrians are urged to to exercise care and caution along the sidewalks where the slabs are being placed in preparation to position the bins.
Any inconvenience is deeply regretted at this time.

Interesting that this comment was published, but others are not.
It’s great to see the government doing something that will provide a practical improvement in the quality of life for its citizens. I am sure we will have cleaner streets because of this. Now we just need to make sure the trash bins are picked up regularly and also cleaned.
