New immigration fees to take effect soon

1

(PRESS RELEASE)

The Immigration Department within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Trade will implement a new fee structure effective August 01, 2018.

Chief Immigration Officer, Katrina Yearwood, said the fees were first approved by the Cabinet back on October 28, 2015, and after some delay the department will implement the fees from next month.

She said this has become necessary as the department has seen a demand for its services and based on the need for more information to process applications, the department has had to employ additional staff thus adding to its overall administrative costs.

She said the new fee structure will also bring Antigua and Barbuda in line with the costs associated with similar services in other Caribbean (CARICOM) territories.

A listing of the new fees is in the attached link.
