In a week, the V2V Empress, a fast catamaran ferry with a capacity of 245 passengers, will launch transportation services between Antigua and Montserrat.
Operated by NAVIYUC S.A. De C.V., the service will run for five months, operating five days per week off-peak and six days during peak periods until March next year.
This will enhance connectivity, particularly for Montserrat residents traveling to Antigua. The vessel will also cater to tourists for day tours and travel between Antigua and Nevis.
Customs and Immigration checks were successfully completed upon the vessel’s arrival in Antigua, meeting all requirements.
The V2V Empress boasts modern amenities and a 192-passenger daily limit, with a travel time of approximately 1.5 hours.

Excellent news…it’s about time..I love that little quiet island call Montserrat. I have business over there and fly montserrat or svg just doesn’t cut it at the moment with their limited space for luggage.
And don’t forget their ridiculous fares of upwards of $300us round trip.

The ferry service between Montserrat and Antigua, commencing with the inaugural trip from Montserrat on November 2nd, will cost approximately US$200 round-trip, and online bookings will be available at ferry.mniaccess.com/book once the system is activated by October 27.
We have a Ferry Service to Montserratt and one to Guadeloupe and we need Ferry Services to connect us with all the Eastern Caribbean Islands, because some people are afraid of flying. Let it eb an alternitive on be focused on frieght transportation as well. That should be more lucrative. Airfreight is very expensive.
