    • @ Vantage Point: When they have power & authority they don’t give a damn about anyone in this country… Still trying to feel the presence of the police & the effect of our stringent laws. Perhaps when it happens to someone in authority then the entire law enforcement operation will be different.

  1. This is getting more sickening and sickening. Where is the bloody out cry for the victims of these crimes by the heads of states?

Instead they are out here busy busy chasing defamation lawsuits..

Gosh man Mister Priminister, can you please put some of that energy into the gun crimes in this country, please 🥺.. I’m begging you sir.

What the hell is going on here, no upheaval over the lawlessness that’s taking over this tiny island?

  2. Crime is now becoming a daily occurrence, and yet protesters and litigation is the order of the day by theABLP:

  3. Think: This is not a home grown phenomenon. But like most things in Antigua: it is an imported phenomenon and criminal MO trend. Who is in charge of vetting the influx of people allowed to inter the country from the different regional countries supposedly called The Caricom association? Some might have had conviction for similar offenses and, are known within their communities, before migrating to Antigua to continue; and effect the same nefarious mayhem that is affecting our local population.
This crime spree is contagious, and cannot be sustained. It is imperative that the powers that be revisit the intention of our open entry stance; to all and sundry policies that allows for none desirable to settle, and take roots amongst our naive population: who bat not an eye to strangers and the strange accents they seemingly so eagerly welcome with open arms; and without questions. This trend being postured of Antigua being the Mecca Of The Caribbean; does not lend itself to a harmonious blend of unification, when the citizens does not feel safe in their homes or business and, the reactionary barracks cops are of no effect in putting a damper on the extraordinary volume of gun crimes – in a country that has such strict gun law for citizens carry license. The emphasis of my intention is: the safety and, protection of the law abiding citizens, and foreigners in our sovereign space, and to do that; it must be a proactive collaboration effort of law enforcement and citizens of staunch resolve engaging to bring and end to this alarming crime wave trend; that has become all too common an occurrence in our peaceful civil society. Who is going to protect us? None! but us. Man and Women: of patriotic nationalist pride, beyond political rhetoric and pandering.

  4. That is not the ANTIGUA I knew growing up there.Where are all of those damn guns coming from? How are they getting into Antigua without being detected? Who are bringing those illegal guns into Antigua? Something is amiss,it smells like fish.

  5. Most important is why did you bring these crooks to our once peaceful island? For votes? For money? Why? Shame on you. Now what are you going do? NOTHING?

  6. And the incompetent AG and security minister calls Antigua the safest place in the Caribbean, while the Traveling police chief was parading through cabinet clueless as a snowflake in July. He had no ideas or plans for strategies going forward. How is this idiot still employed?

  7. Instead of going after criminals the police are busy downtown issuing tickets and now boasting that they collected over a million dollars for traffic violations, meanwhile folks are afraid to walk the streets at night because they don’t know when they’re going to become victims .

  8. Nevis st.runs East n West from Country Pond down to Fibry with crosses at Market St, CornAlley,Thames st and Cross st.
A little precision,,in reporting,,these crimes would further aid the citizenry,in its,,caution and awareness when traversing the precise locale of the crime.
