National Day of Prayer to Become Annual Event
Prime Minister Gaston Browne and Leader of the Opposition Jamale Pringle united in celebration of the National Day of Prayer on Thursday. Browne endorsed making the event annual, with plans to extend it to a full-day holiday in the future.
The march, which began at Antigua Recreation Ground and ended at the Multi-Purpose Cultural Centre, drew thousands, offering prayers for leaders, youth, women, and the nation. The event was organized by the Ecclesiastical Ministry and supported by both government and opposition.
Browne emphasized the need for spiritual support for the nation’s youth and called for wider participation from schools and the Cabinet. He aims to institutionalize the event as a key moment for national unity.

Another Public Holiday. This has economic consequences. The payroll for one day will be one and a half time more expensive and the cost of doing business will have to increase. There nothing called a free lunch. Someone will have to pay for it.
Now we need a national day of ACTION, as the Holy Scriptures declare in James 2:17 “… faith by itself, if its not accompanied by action is DEAD”
AMEN TO THAT 🙏🏽
