How many of us dress up and go to church on sunday and Saturday and for the rest of the week God failed to exist? This is kind a what we are doing here. Instead of coming together as a nation at least once every month giving God thanks, ask for his blessings and forgiveness, we sat back and watched evil take full control over our nation, now we are calling for morning devotion in our schools and national day of prayer.
Now this to me sounds like just calling on God only in the time of need, but the God whom you serve is not just an in need God, he is a God who wants the nation of Antigua and Barbuda to come to him in this manner at least every month.
Remember, prayers without actions is just noise:

Prayer is always good and welcomed. But we have to look beyond trying to use God as convenience and only remember him when things gets tough. God is displeased. We have moved far away from God in our thoughts and actions. Even the churches have become irrelevant and almost hopeless. They seem to he playing the same “wait and see” game. It would serve us well to remember God in good times and bad.
Growing up and attending school in Antigua. We had morning prayer every morning. When did that practice ceased. I am of the view that Antigua and Barbuda have adopted the US policy of separation of church and the educational system. Back in the 60’s the U.S did away with prayer in schools, thus bringing the dawn of lawlessness and total undeciplined children. What next are we going to tell our children that whenever our parents spank us that it is their constitutional right to dial 911.
