An unnamed government has offered a grant of US$ 30 million for housing development in Antigua and Barbuda, Prime Minister Gaston Browne has said.
The prime minister did not reveal the name of the
Browne said he received the good news on Friday, around the same time that the United States made announcements about the countries to benefit from its visa renewal waiver.
Antigua was not included.
“They say when one door closes many more open,” Browne said in response.
He emphasised that it was “not a loan but a grant in the amount of US$ 30 million for housing.”
No further details were provided.
