   • These issues are SPIRITUAL in nature and CANNOT be solved be any counsellor or psychological therapy.

     The fact is we have thrown the Source of Love and Peace out of our lives. We, instead, have given our wholesome allegeance to the source of evil. No longer is there a distinction between good and evil. We continually channel our energies to follow evil. This is the mind set of mankind in general.
     The Creator will NEVER force us to follow His way. He gave us the choice, and even pleads with us to choose the right path. However, despite all the negative effects eminating from our wayward, foolish and dangerous lifestyles; we persist on the same destructive path.

     The Spirit of protection is slowly being withdrawn from this earth. The guardian angels have pellucidly seen that we have already made up our minds to go against the law of the Creator. The LAW of LOVE. So we are left in a quandary.
     This is the way we choose to go and hence we will continue to experience the BITTER consequences.

     We cannot have it both ways. The choice is ours: Good or Evil ?
     The path to evil and destruction is wide and simple to travel. On the otherhand, the path of RIGHTEOUSNESS is NARROW. Takes much disciplne and abiding by LAWS that the carnal mind hates.
     It is easy to succuum to the flashes of selfish, evil thoughts that invade our minds constantly. It takes DIVINE help to resist these invading thoughts.
     This is what we lack: THAT DIVINE CONNECTION. Without it, we are HOPELESS.
     This is where our education system continues to fail us.
     We teach our youths how to make a living but far be it from how TO LIVE the life that focuses on our earnest dependency on The Supreme Creator that would help us overcome all the evil temptations to travel the deadly pathway.

     As we draw closer to the end of this earthly saga, the hearts of men will become ( have already become) even more desperately wicked. Our fight is not against our brother ( or sister) but against an invisible enemy whose quest is to eradicate as MANY humans as possibly can. How successful this evil deceiver has been as we see the results of its onslaught each and every day in the world around us.
     Our people lack purpose in life. The religions of this world have deceived the majority. Professing christianity has long lost its way and is the major force in the great deception that is leading our people astray.
     This storyline will get HORRIBLY WORSE before we see the dawn of a new day.

     The choice as was then is now still: which way will we choose ?
     Choose you this day whom you will serve ?

     The battle is about worship. Battle for mankind. We are free moral agents. Choose!

     Yes, much DARKER DAYS are soon ahead, but there is BRIGHT HOPE for those who will hold fast to the way of RIGHTEOUSNESS.

     No middle ground.
     This is just PLAIN SIMPLE TRUTH. It hurts, but IT SAVES!

3. This is a very sad story.Two young men,one is gone from earth for good.The other could be going away to 1735 for a very,long time.People,please learn to walk away before it becomes untenable.It is best to be called a coward than to die a horrible death.

5. Too many youths have to raise themselves due to circumstances. They never have anyone around to tell them right from wrong. Television is thier tutor, guardian and administration. So what you expect? There are no youth programs, juvenile detention centres and anyone in authority to give a crap about them! May he sleep in peace. Unfortunate but destined to occur with more of our children. Take your time out to teach the youths people!!!!

6. It is really the sad reality of life these days. Many of our homes are irreparably broken and our villages and communities are no better off Many children today are growing up without a fathers firm hand and the mothers are busy working hard in order to make ends meet so children are practically left on their own with very little guidance. Growing up, I had no social media, no television, no phones and tablets. My free time was spent playing marbles and yard cricket and at church.
   The now lifestyle is wrecking our youths. Social media and the addition to these illicit drugs and substances has created a culture of aggression amongst the kids like we have never seen before. They are wild! We need to get these children enrolled in positive attributes that will enhance their lives. National service should be mandatory for all youths from 16 upwards. I personally would encourage all parents to make church be a part of these kids lives. We have lost that important element of our upbringing.

   • @ Mr. Phillips, I would not go that far yet (irreparable). That can only be said when we and our government (agencies) are doing the utmost we can do. We are not.

     For instance, my crime, abuse and terrorism victim advocacy and research endeavor would be able to help youths and vulnerable groups in the country, along with implementing tools and resources that would help mitigate and solve problems like these but as you see from all my complaints on this platform, such endeavors are not treated as nationally important with substantial merit.

     When the government is not providing certain social services, why not accommodate and support private individuals doing it?

     So, we cannot say things are irreparable when we have not truly tried. But I do agree with your point that it is horrific the state of the environment (family) in Antigua.

Single parents can be more present, rear their children, bring them to church, live in better homes and neighborhoods and enroll their children in private schools if ONLY the absent parent is at least held accountable!! Child maintenance is paramount and needs to be ENFORCED to the highest degree of the law and men arrested, DL suspended, no freedom, if they can’t care for their child, etc. AUTOMATICALLY suspend their license so that if they out driving and pulled over, then taken in to see the judge as to why they haven’t paid and car is now in motor pool, this is all when no payments made on time and implementation of garnishment orders!! The child support guidelines need to be adjusted to 35% of his pay because 100% of hers is going towards sustaining a home and food for her children. Bare minimum. The courts are difficult here, slow and the bailiffs not firm enough to serve and collect these men (or women of they owe)!

   Antigua youth absolutely needs reform and social services but help starts from improving the very decrepite and family court system that’s not trying hard enough to improve youths lives!!
