Murder convict, Atlee Alexander will have to serve out his full sentence after the Court of Appeal dismissed his appeal to reduce his sentence this afternoon.
Alexander killed a pregnant mother and her two pre-teen daughters when he deliberately set fire to their home in 1997.
The convict had initially received a mandatory death sentence for the crime but the execution was stayed two days before it was to be carried out.
Since then mandatory sentences of death were ruled unconstitutional.
In 2016, during a resentencing hearing, Alexander received a new sentence of life imprisonment with the possibility of early release after 42 years.
The appellant’s lawyer argued the breaches of his client’s constitutional rights should have resulted in a more lenient sentence.
The panel of Court of Appeal Justices disagreed however and the sentence was upheld since they could find no error in the ruling of the sentencing judge.

It had to take strong nerve to be a defense attorney because I can’t see how I would even try to get this monster back on the street.

I remember this like yesterday he used to beat this lady relentlessly he was an evil man and probably still is he did set the house on fire and killed these girls the said baby burned inside the woman and one the daughter got away with so much scaring on her face and body! If u weren’t there you need to shut up cause obviously u have no idea what really took place
I was in the court room when he told the judge if you release me I will kill her. Then few weeks later he did it. Smh he needs to rot in prison.
