Justice Tunde Bakre has ruled that Jeffrey Daniel, accused of murdering David Roberts, must face trial.
Despite defense attempts to dismiss the case, the judge decided to proceed based on 13 witnesses’ testimonies.
Jessica Roberts warned Daniel not to return after a trespassing incident, but a scuffle ensued on May 21, 2021.
Daniel was found with a cutlass, and subsequent testimonies, including David’s stepdaughter’s, indicated a confrontation.
The court heard from police, a doctor, and a pathologist, confirming Roberts died from massive blood loss. The judge concluded there’s enough evidence to proceed with the trial.
