Murder accused retains Wendel Robinson in Nigel Christian case

One of the men accused of murdering Nigel Christian has retained former Commissioner of Police Wendell Robinson as his lawyer.

Robinson is representing Wayne Thomas of Hatton.

Antigua Newsroom understands that Robinson is also assisting Lasean Bully in the interim since Bully has not been able to retain the services of a lawyer.

On Thursday 8th April, the Police arrested and charged 30yr old Bully of Cashew Hill and 28yr old Thomas of Hatton in connection with the murder of the Senior Customs Officer.

Today, they charged a third man, 30-year old Saliem Harrigan of Greenbay.

His lawyer is Michael Archibald.

Meantime, United progressive Party candidate Sherfield Bowen says it will be a case of Commissioner v Commissioner since Robinson’s dismissal from the police force was deemed unlawful and since Atlee Rodney remains in charge of the force.

Bowen who is also a lawyer made the remarks at a UPP virtual public meeting last night.

Robinson has made a name for himself in legal circles since returning to private practice. He has had several major successes for himself and clients in the courts.

  6. WENDEL ROBINSON is the hottest lawyer on the market these days! Guess the RPFAB was the millstone around his neck. Now that he is free, he seems to be really blooming and prospering. This is what happens when you let go of dead weight.
