Magistrate N’gaio Emanuel-Edwards has remanded murder-accused Jeffery Daniel to prison for allegedly killing David Roberts in Newfield last Friday.

Police allege the 26-year-old Cassada Gardens resident stabbed Roberts to death following an altercation that day.

A doctor pronounced Roberts dead after someone discovered his body outside his Newfield home.

Daniel will return to court for committal proceedings on August 11.

Roberts’ killing is the second homicide so far this year.

In February, Police charged 20-year-old Verel Simon with murder for allegedly killing Corporal Clifton Common at St. John’s Police Station.

  1. If this guy is guilty(?) he should die by hanging. Simple as that. We will await the court decision.

    • Yes, what happened was wrong; however, please let the young man’s case be heard. He could be defending himself. What would you do if someone is trying to harm you? I am not saying that’s what happens but let the people and court hear the young man’s case. May God comforted and strengthened both families who are hurting because of what had happened.
