Member of Parliament for St Mary’s South, Kelvin “Shugy” Simon, has praised residents for their resilience following recent flooding caused by a tropical storm.

In a post shared on social media, Mr Simon said he and community leader Leibert “Chairman” Francis visited several areas in the constituency to check on residents, particularly the elderly and most vulnerable.
Mr Simon described the experience as “inspiring”, noting the “gratitude, strength and resilience” of the people in St Mary’s South.
He called for continued unity within the community and renewed efforts to improve local infrastructure and public services.
