Real News -Antigua: Investigations continue into a robbery during which a Mount
Pleasant man was beaten and robbed by armed gunmen.

The report of this incident was made to the Langfords Police Station via an emergency 911 call by another resident, who complained that three masked gunmen had committed the offence at her home, where they beat and robbed the victim.

Officers later arrived on the scene and saw the victim sitting on the veranda of another neighbour, with blood running down his face and on his clothes.

This offence reportedly occurred at about 10 p.m. on January 27.

Reports say the victim had just arrived at the residence to deliver food when he was attacked by the trio of bandits.

Allegedly they proceeded to beat him about his body with their guns and hands and kicked him, as well.

The bandits then robbed him of his gold chain and $3,000 in cash before fleeing from the scene in the victim’s silver Toyota Yaris, registration number A16952.

The Emergency Medical Services (EMS) was summoned to the scene and the victim was transported to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre for medical attention.

A search was carried out in the surrounding areas for the stolen vehicle and the alleged robbers, but without success.

  1. Why has this become a common occurrence? It should not be! What is it going to take to reclaim our country from these villains who have our country under siege?

    • As above so below, as within so without. The society is mirroring what’s at the top. You may not see it but the mirror does not lie. Anything that is in the society is exactly what the politicians are doing. And when I say politicians I mean ABLP and UPP all of them.

  2. As I continue to say,the foreigners keep saying antigua is a playground for them………..Think about it an understand what they’re saying in their terms of language

  3. Writing from Canada,

Rumors flying up here that Antigua is unsafe to travel to now. It is so discouraging to hear. I am a born and raised Antiguan national living and working in Canada. It is just terrible to hear people talk about home like this. 🙁

These criminals have no sense, no soul. The are ruining it for everyone!

  4. I have a real big question: how come no law Enforcement never seems to catch any of these criminals? To me its seems like they have a hand in these criminal acts also , because they never catches anyone 🤔 that got me thinking about the police force , wondering if they also a part of it
