The circumstances surrounding the incident have sparked concerns about safety standards in childcare facilities.

According to reports, all the children were asleep at the time of the incident.

It is believed that the toddler woke up and managed to enter the crib room, where the assault took place.

The employees emphasized that they were not negligent and described the event as an unfortunate occurrence that could not have been predicted.

The mother of the affected baby, still shaken by the incident, expressed her uncertainty about how to proceed with the matter.

She emphasized the need for stricter safety measures in daycares and preschools to protect children.

She suggested that mandatory installation of baby monitors or surveillance cameras could provide added security.

Additionally, she called for gates to have proper latches and for age-appropriate segregation of children to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future.

The mother highlighted the unpredictability of children’s behavior, noting that they can act unexpectedly due to their curiosity. She stressed that while this incident resulted in superficial wounds, it could have been far worse.

She also raised the issue of proof for parents in similar situations to ensure that employees were not negligent in their duties.

The incident has brought attention to the challenges faced by both parents and daycare employees in maintaining a safe and secure environment for children. It serves as a reminder of the constant vigilance required to ensure the well-being of young ones in childcare settings.

as for the pre school trust me mama those teachers dnt give a fuck I have seen it for myself

  6. I am sorry that happened to a baby or any child. My heart hurts.

ALL YOUR COMMENTS ABOUT BEATING PEOPLE UP AND HITTING KIDS IS WHY ANTIGUA HAS SOME OF THE WORSE PARENTS ON THE PLANET. YOU RAISE YOUR KIDS BY HITTING AND YELLING AT THEM. IT IS THE PARENTS FAULT. THE KIDS ARE DOING TO OTHERS WHAT THEY SEE THEIR ABUSIVE PARENTS DOING.
There is so much more I could say, but I won’t.
God bless and keep our children safe.
THAT DAYCARE WAS NEGLIGENT IN KEEPING THOSE CHILDREN SAFE.

  7. We are in the digital age. Parents can install small hidden camera in the babies bags.

  8. There are cameras that can be installed in every room of a daycare so parents can check on there kids from their cell while at work. Should be mandatory in every licensed daycare in Antigua.

  9. These early childhood facilities are in it for the MONEY. They no longer show genuine love for caring for these small ones. Where were the adults that should have been in both the toddler room and the infant room?

  10. With the cost of daycare and schooling these days and the fact that nobody can love your child for you, we might well consider just taking care of our own children.

  11. So many damn hypocrites commenting here.
When a tourists’ picney and mother “fell” off Devil’s Bridge, Antiguans pouring out so much sympathy.
And a rare unfortunate occurrence at a Daycare and Preschool with a previously good record and people want kill a toddler and probably jail the parents and care takers.
Even the writing of the article so insensitive “toddler assaults baby”. Some of you all chatting and have big man ridding you all girl children.

  12. So were the teachers asleep too ?? As far as I know an adult should be assigned to kids as long as kids are there. They should never be left unattended.. some should be watching them even as they sleep…

Now who do we sue ??? Their must be accountability? Antigua love to do what the want and nothing happens .. look at those me who one after the other got killed and injured down at the port on a goverment job. Look at the guy warner who years ago got electrocuted and nothing.

  13. Because they were all glued to their phones and not minding the children as they are paid to do. Typical incompetence. No way will I take my kid there again.

  14. If it was a case where the child was severely injured or killed BY ACCIDENT. Would no one be ACCOUNTABLE?. Just a statistical error? Sorry and monies won’t right the wrong. Prevention is cure. And trauma is trauma. We all human after all.
