3

Workers at the Central Board of Health and a number of Non-Governmental Organizations took to the streets of St John on Monday with their placards, flyers and banners, proclaiming the anti-mosquito message.

The parade forms part of the week of activities marking the annual Mosquito Awareness Week.

The July 7th to 12th event is being held under the theme ” Join the Fight and Lessen the Bite.”

  1. How do you lessen a mosquito bite? Can you lessen an actual bite or is it the number of bites that can be lessened? At least the theme rhymes. Molwyn must b so proud.

    • FIGURING OUT- BUZZ AND BITE

      Just trying to ‘…Figure Out’ the same thing as well.

      These mosquitoes have no discipline.

      Night and day, they bite anytime and anywhere.

      Do know that they seemed to have;

      (i) ‘…a good radar and a keen sense of smell; and

      (ii) ‘…a belly that seems as deep like a well;

      At least, the people can ‘…reduce the number of breeding receptacles at home’ and workers in this department, ‘…reduce the number of breeding grounds in the wider community.’

      Even so, do know that the little bit that remains will continue to buzz around and bite like hell.
