Missing child again? What’s going on? The rod has been spared, so the children are spoiled. You can’t discipline without it being called child abuse. People want to blame government for any and everything their children do these days. Tek dem in hand!

This is becoming like a routine nowadays. We have to be careful that folks would not take reports of “missing ” persons seriously because of the frequency and beliefs that the events are not real and authentic and are perhaps just absent persons. I’m wondering if these young people run away because of abuse at home. I find Antiguan parents say terrible abusive things to their children. If that doesn’t work they physically abuse them. Growing up my Antiguan mother use to hit us all the time if she was having a bad day, etc. her mother did it to her. She would tell us we would never amount to anything. I know many of you know of what I speak. I just wanted to run away. I’m a grandmother now and have never hit my kids. They grew up to be great adults. I still look back on my childhood abuse and feel pain in my heart. Don’t hit the people you claim to love. Find a better way to communicate.

How can one blame the teachers for what is happening with our youths? This begins at home and spilled over into the public, disrespect for attorities ect ! Parents pleas pay close attention , don’t spoil your children because you would have your self to blame. We have to start from the time they could under these two words , YES and NO !
