Ministry warns against election littering

(PRESS RELEASE)

With the election campaign in full swing, it is anticipated that St. John’s and communities all across Antigua and Barbuda will soon be engulfed with election paraphernalia of all sorts – posters, banners, stickers and the like.

The Ministry of Health & the Environment urges all political parties to be responsible when installing and using such material, especially those made of plastic.

All organizations and individuals involved in this exercise should avoid littering and ensure that a clean environment is maintained.

The Ministry also reminds the political parties that it is their responsibility to remove all election paraphernalia after the March 21st poll and that this should be done within two weeks after Election Day.

The Ministry looks forward to the cooperation of all political parties and their supporters.  Let us keep Antigua and Barbuda clean.
