The Ministry of Works’ Project Implementation Management Unit (PIMU) is set to host a consultation for AHTA members and owners of car rental companies this week.

The interactive consultation will be held on Wednesday 5 December at 10:00 am at the Antigua and Barbuda Hotel and Training Institute.

The objective of the consultation is to inform participants about the Antigua and Barbuda Road Infrastructure Rehabilitation Project.

The PIMU’s Project Coordinator, Dennis Cudjoe said:

“We are anticipating this consultation because we are aware that the tourism season is at its peak and these particular stakeholders will have the opportunity to discuss their concerns with us in an open forum.”

Attendees at the consultation will include the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Works, Clarence Pilgrim, members of the PIMU, representatives from APUA and the Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda.

The Government of Antigua and Barbuda Road Infrastructure Rehabilitation Project is now underway and will see major improvements to two main carriage ways: Friars Hill Road and Sir George Walter Highway formally Airport Road.
