The Ministry of Information, Broadcasting, Telecommunications and Information Technology says various ICT-led reforms are taking place as part of a broader Digital Transformation Strategy.

One such initiative is the modernization of the country’s Civil Registry and Vital Statistics (CRVS) project which will introduce upgraded processes and activities within the Civil Registry.

The project which will see the registration of births, deaths, marriages and other key life events ensuring that the rights of every citizen and resident of Antigua and Barbuda is upheld and advanced.

Developing a comprehensive and readily available CRVS information system is the aim of the Government of Antigua and Barbuda, one that can provide significant benefits for public planning and policy making that can exceed the investments required for such a system to work.

Coupling big data and analytics the Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS) project can enable governments to identify social patterns and proactively enhance programs and infrastructure with the aim of better serving rapidly changing populations.
