The Ministry of Health, Wellness, Social Transformation, and the Environment expresses gratitude to the People’s Republic of China for their generous donation of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
This valuable contribution comprises 50,000 medical masks and 1000 sets of protective clothing, with an approximate value of ECD$40,000. The PPE will play a crucial role in our ongoing efforts to prevent and control the spread of COVID-19.
Honorable Sir Molwyn Joseph, the Minister of Health, had the honor of receiving this donation on behalf of the Ministry.
The presentation was made by Her Excellency Mme Zhang Yanling, the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Antigua and Barbuda.
The ministry said: We extend our deepest appreciation for the support and collaboration provided by the Chinese government during these challenging times.
