Information Minister Melford Nicholas announced yesterday that the Antigua and Barbuda Broadcasting Service (ABS) is set to establish a point of presence on Barbuda next year.

This expansion will include a miniaturized studio and necessary communication facilities to ensure that the ongoing development in Barbuda is accurately captured, broadcast, and discussed in the public sphere.

Minister Nicholas emphasized that the truth of the development in Barbuda cannot be fully comprehended until the people of Antigua and Barbuda can visually witness it.

He stressed the importance of creating a platform where the community can see, share, and debate the progress and changes taking place on the island.

The miniaturized studio will serve as a hub for capturing, producing, and broadcasting content related to Barbuda’s development.

This includes interviews with key stakeholders, on-site reports, and documentary-style coverage to provide a comprehensive view of the ongoing projects.

Additionally, the communication facilities being put in place will ensure a seamless flow of information between Barbuda and the main broadcasting center.

This will enable real-time updates and facilitate a continuous dialogue between policymakers, developers, and the local population.

Minister Nicholas expressed his confidence that the initiative would not only showcase the positive aspects of development but also provide a platform for public discourse.

  1. Of course the ABLP government are going to establish their broadcasting mouthpiece ABS in Barbuda.

They know that they can’t get a electioneering foothold from bright and intelligent Barbudan’s, so they have to propagate their political nonsense on this island.

However, Barbudan’s are wise to these ABLP tricksters (unlike many Antiguans), and will NEVER let ABS sway or change their political mindset.

The Barbudan’s should counteract this move by starting up their own Barbudan Broadcasting Service (BBS).

SEE IT DEY, PROBLEM SOLVED …
