  1. Joubert should be on August 1st
    When our forefathers & formothers got wind of their freedom they took to the streets to celebrate …. We need to make AUGUST 1st Joubert instead …. 4am to 4 pm.
    AGAIN we have strayed but we are redeemable STOP having fetes in the carnival period as well

    All fetes should be before carnival and after no exceptions

    • Having Jouvert on August 1st would complicate matter tremendously. Presently, Jovert is the 1st Monday of August, which makes sense. If you put Jouvert as the 1st of August, then Jovert could fall on any day (Sunday, Monday, etc) and then you would have to schedule the rest of carnival around that.
