Health, Wellness and the Environment Minister – Molwyn Joseph delivered another passionate message on his Ministry’s ongoing fight to rid the twin island state of Non Communicable Diseases.
The St Mary’s North MP reminded the gathering that there are plans in the pipeline for a sugary beverage tax, a national insurance policy as well as the launching of the Antigua Moves Initiative which is slated to be launched in January of 2020.
Minister Joseph was at the time speaking during the Childhood Obesity Forum at the Medical Benefits Scheme.
The event was held under the umbrella of the Antigua and Barbuda Association of Nutritionists and Dietitians and the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment.
