The Cabinet of Antigua and Barbuda received word last week that the current increase in COVID-19 infections is placing a burden on facilities where patients with the disease are isolated and treated.

There are two hundred and seventy (270) active cases in the country.

There are twenty (20) hospitalized cases; sixteen (16) mild, one (1) moderate and three (3) severe.

Information Minister Melford Nicholas says there could be more cases if COVID-19 is not contained.
