Can a member of the ruling party with political aspirations having tried been elected become a fair person to adjudicate income tax queries?
Why can’t she be impartial. Just because one support a political party and or administration it doesn’t mean that you cannot be absolutely fair. The last time I checked this lady is a lady is a lawyer and served in the legal department of an AzBLP administration. There are members of the UPP who are currently lecturers at the UWI campus in Antigua. The chairman of the UPP vehemently opposed the establishment of a campus here.
@ ? : what if someone who supported UPP was selected? Would that person be impartial? Ofcourse u don’t know. Therefore inspite of the political preferences or regardless whoever the person is who gets selected, the role should be executed professionally without fear or favor.
When did the Chairperson oppose establishing a university here? The present site was the issue. It sounds as though YOU are opposed to any member of the UPP being employed there. You always portrait yourself as being so self-righteous and you just lied so easily; not surprisingly though.
@Rovi…. Stop making up things. Gisele Isaac said that she would stop teaching at UWI Undergrad Dept. (it was at State College at the time) if UWI were to “cheapen its brand and bring a campus to Antigua”. After UWI made its decision, Darren Matthew-Ward had on the morning show on Observer Radio and asked her if she stands by those comments. She protested that she never said that, and Darren played the clip of her uttering those words.
Speak the truth and shame the devil!
Blessed miss Hyman they can never keep good people down i know you are a god bless you lady keep up the good work
No staunch political appointees I say, it’s all about rewarding people for political favors ,both as upp and ALP, didn’t Anthony Smith get a position that financially reward him? You think he would be impartial? Or do what Gaston say? So this lady as a scrutineer of income tax , do you think she will have the taxes of epicurean and varandah and st James hotel and hadeed power station paid to the treasury fairly? You say you are going to be equitable with tax but you gave a comrade to supersede the professionals from applying tax across the board to the letter, the more things change it remains the same, so these elites will never pay tax, the political appointees will stop the real accountants from putting arrears on record, but by the way didn’t Gaston won the election on abolishing income tax?
Income tax board?
Income tax board?
Income tax board…….
Just about now we need to see an official list with all the boards along with the appointments.
Income tax board people
THE WEAK IN FAITH: …FEAR NOT: …FAIRLY AND FEARLESSLY
Let not your hearts be ‘…Troubled,’ nor ‘ears be ‘…DEAFENED.’
Appearing before, ‘…Her Worship,’ then solely assigned as a ‘…Police Court Prosecutor’ within the ‘…Magistracy,’ she had acquitted herself, professionally and exceptionally well.
Even coming from a ‘…British Culture,’ she appeared to have understood the ‘…LOCAL JURISDICTIONAL ENVIRONMENT’ very well.
She may have been considered ‘…CHALK’ then, to today’s ‘…CHEESE…?’
NOW:
What the hell is this saying?
A person of ‘…Great strength of character.’
Thus, adjudicated, ‘…Fairly: …Fearlessly: and …Uncompromisingly.’
As a new ‘…Board Member,’ undoubtedly, she shall continuously ‘…Strive for Fairness.’
Therefore, ‘…Taxpayers,’ shall ‘…FEAR NO EVIL.’
Congratulations, MADAME.
More nonsensical uttering by some of the biased ABLP supporters on here; and here’s why:
Just imagine (for example) if someone like Gisele D Isaacs was appointed for this very important position if the UPP were in power. The uproar would be absolutely the scale.
So why not this “political” ABLP appointment?
And by the way, will Antiguans be rest assured that this political appointee will scrutinise the way this government uses our tax dollars as well?
As always, Brixtonian “cutting” through the utter nonsense … 😉
This is just a pay packet for a comrade. All parties do it. At her age she may not even turn up.for any meetings.
All the best to this outstandng lady!
*off the scale …
THERE ARE MORE BOARDS IN ANTIGUA THAN ON MY HOUSES.WHEN WOULD WE BE GETTING A TOILET BOARD?
