Man’s body found floating in waters off central Bermuda

Loop News – An investigation has been launched into the circumstance surrounding the death of a man, whose body was found in waters just off Bermuda’s coastline.

According to the Bermuda Police Service (BPS), the unidentified man was seen floating in the waters off of North Shore, Devonshire around 6:40 pm on Saturday.

Three police officers entered the water to retrieve the man and immediately commenced life-saving efforts, BPS said.

The man was taken to the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

“An investigation surrounding the circumstances of the man’s death has commenced.

We are asking anyone who may have been in the area at the time and seen a man near or in the water, to contact police on 211 or 295-0011,” police said in a statement.
