Man who killed his transgender lover ordered back to prison after erroneous early release

A man convicted of killing his transgender partner in 2018 is back in prison after he was temporarily released from prison.

Timothy Jackman, 27, was freed from Her Majesty’s Prison on July 3, earlier than his original 11 years and nine months sentence for the manslaughter of 25-year-old Angel Joseph.

Jackman’s release was initially deemed a mistake by the prison, which sought his rearrest, claiming he was freed two years early.

However, on Thursday after hearing an application for an interim injunction in relation to the prisoner, the High Court determined that the convict’s application is rejected and so ordered his incarceration.
